Sagirah Shahid is a Black Muslim poet from Minneapolis, MN. Her writing has been published or is forthcoming in Puerto del Sol, Mizna, Paper Darts, AtlanticRock, Bird’s Thumb, and elsewhere. Often, you’ll find Sagirah splitting her time between dabbling in book arts, or reminding a classroom of 3rd graders that their poetry is powerful too.
