Michelle Disler has a Ph.D. in Creative Nonfiction from Ohio University. Her writing has appeared in North Dakota Quarterly, The Massachusetts Review, and Seneca Review, among many others. She is currently at work on a manuscript titled What the Body Knows, which follows her father’s career as a homicide detective, and she continues to research Beaver Island, Michigan, on which her manuscript Letters from the Island is based. Her first book, [BOND, JAMES]: alphabet, anatomy, [auto]biography, was released by Counterpath Press (2012).
