Max Everhart holds a Master's degree in English from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, and teaches at Northeastern Technical College in Cheraw, SC. He has published fiction in CutBank, Elysian Fields Quarterly, Slow Trains Journal, and Juked. His short story "Virginia is a Different Country" was a finalist in Glimmer Train's New Writer Contest in 2007, and it also received Honorable Mention in the AWP Intro Journals Contest in 2007. His story "Love Bruises" was nominated for the storySouth Million Writers Award in 2009. He is a big fan of the Boston Red Sox.
