Joanne Furio is a journalist and nonfiction writer who has spent many years writing about the decorative arts and people. For a decade she was a contributing writer at San Francisco magazine, and previously wrote for The New York Times, Ms., and New York Magazine. Her nonfiction has appeared in The Believer, Mary: A Journal of New Writing, and The East Hampton Star, among other publications. She lives in Berkeley, California, and got her MFA at Saint Mary’s College of California.
