 Jenny Halper is a student in Emerson College's MFA program, and a recent transplant to Los Angeles. Her stories have appeared in Smokelong Quarterly, New England Fiction Meetinghouse, and Helicon. As a journalist she has written for the Boston Phoenix, New England Film, and Boston Now, among others, and she serves as Film Editor for Spare Change News. She has a turtle named Herbert who is currently living with her parents in New York, because no airline would fly him and various mailing services said she could only ship him if she was a member of the circus.
