Jenna Lanzaro is a writer and teacher based in Jersey City. She received her MFA in Poetry from NYU as a Writers in the Public Schools Fellow. A 2023 Discovery Poetry Prize Winner, her work has also been honorably mentioned for the 2023 Bechtel Prize for innovation in teaching Creative Writing, nominated for a Best of the Net Award, and recognized by Small Orange Journal’s Emerging Woman Poet Honor. Jenna’s poems, essays and interviews can be found in LitHub, Rattle, Teachers & Writers Magazine, Washington Square Review, and elsewhere. She currently teaches middle school Creative Writing and lives with her two cats, Tarzan and Zelda.
