Originally from East New York, Brooklyn, Ayendy Bonifacio is a poet, Ph.D. student, and teaching associate in The Ohio State University English department. He studies nineteenth-century American Literature with a focus on periodical culture and poetry. His research interests are newspaper poetry and literature, women writers, communications, journalism, and serialization. Bonifacio’s poetry contemplates questions of identify, education, writing, and mindfulness. His poems and book reviews have been featured in The Journal: A Literary Magazine, The Olivetree Review, The Rocky Mountain Review, ¿Qué Pasa, OSU?, The Syzygy Poetry Journal, and most recently, Odd Ball Poetry Magazine.
