I sit here asking why he ain’t marry

a woman thick and brown

like his mama:

But let’s give the man a chance to be a man:

to be human:

to err as we all err:

we all act like we don’t err, like  

we don’t want what Ye got:

we all stay sniffing at his pot while   

our cooking burns:

we ask how’d he get the gourmet:

what you doing to get some, too, 

to make some, too, and then do what you wanna do:
